Senior Manager - Business Intelligence & Reporting

As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward a greater focus on the use of data and strengthening our capabilities, we are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Reporting Transformation function. In this role, you will lead on efforts to transform and streamline the BI platform landscape. This will enable the organization to gain necessary, timely insights to drive business decisions, build our competitive advantage and help differentiate in the market through easy-to-use, scalable, cost-effective, secure, and high-performance BI platforms.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
Take a leading role in the End-to-end Reporting Transformation project, owning the analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design for new BI solutions.
Manage diverse teams across the IDA function as we develop and deliver new BI Reporting solutions in the team, and ensure new products are fit for customer purposes, built to best practice standards, and efficiently utilize company resources and data assets.
Be able to work directly with customers in the business, to understand requirements, design new solutions, and troubleshoot issues, as well as prioritize work based upon a deep customer understanding.
Be able to advise the wider team and bring industry best practice techniques to ensure our BI platforms are well-governed, maintained, remain secure, and optimized for our customers.
Enable business to self-service and meet BI demands through the provision and ongoing management of appropriate tools, coupled with leading relevant training for the business.
Proactively partner with key areas within Global Technology, Transformation & Change Delivery, Group, and other teams for Projects and Business-as-Usual deliverables.
Instill a customer-first culture, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all else.
In this role, you will report to the Division Lead, Reporting Transformation (UK based). You will work within a global team in your day-to-day work with customers around the world.

Required Skills and Abilities:
Is a self-starter who can operate self-directly and lead others in the team in strategic thinking and solution design.
Relevant experience in BI or related roles (Reporting, Analytics, Statistics, etc.) supporting multiple specialty areas of Digital, Data, and Analytics.
Experience in development history in Microsoft Power BI, with experience in usage in large, global, and complicated organizations.
A minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant discipline.
Passion for digital, data, and AI and experience working within a digital and data-driven organization.
Applies in-depth knowledge of business and specialized areas to solve problems and understand integration challenges and long-term impact creatively and strategically.
Ability to communicate effectively directly with customers, peers, and teams across the globe, manage stakeholders effectively and navigate a matrixed global organization.
Brings in a collaborative spirit, can-do attitude, and a Customer First mindset to everything they put their mind to.
Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship-building skills, across all levels of management and customer interaction.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate and thrive in an agile team working environment (inc. use of Jira and other workflow tools) and/or project management experience.
Insurance experience with both financial and non-financial metrics understanding.
Experience in QlikView/QlikSense and Cognos.
Must have management experience.
Data modeling, database management, and/or SQL experience.
