- Develop and implement logistics plans that optimise the use of resources while meeting customer requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
- Negotiate contracts with transportation providers, warehousing companies, and other service providers
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
- Prepare reports on the status of projects and inventory levels
- Manage the storage of goods in warehouse facilities, ensuring proper handling and security of products
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the efficient operation of the logistics department
- Train and supervise logistics staff, including warehouse workers and truck drivers
- Coordinate the activities of third-party logistics providers
- Stay up to date on industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive
