As a member of the global Roche Information Solutions Legal Department you are given this opportunity in a team with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork to support Roche's digital business on all legal matters.

As part of the global Roche Information Solutions Legal team you will be responsible for all employment law and legal matters occurring at the Roche Information Solutions India Ltd site in Pune, India. In addition, you will also provide legal advice to the global and group functions supporting Roche Information Solutions, Roche's Diagnostics division or Informatics present in Pune, India and selected sales activities of the APAC region.

Main tasks of the position

• Providing legal advice to a broad range of legal matters relating to and occurring at the Roche Information Solutions India site, such as corporate and strategic matters, communication with local authorities, Safety, Health and Environment related questions, construction and lease projects.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to Roche Information Solutions Customer Areas and Global Functions on all legal matters, including data privacy, access to data and software commercialization topics
• Providing legal advice to local People & Culture projects and initiatives
• Counseling of labour disputes, writing submissions to civil courts, representing the company in civil proceedings, negotiating settlements
• Contributing to the regular meetings of the Site Leadership Team of Roche Information Solutions India
• Developing and presenting legal trainings regarding various topics of relevance to and in support of business needs in local as well as English language
• Interacting with colleagues across Roche to determine compliant yet practical legal responses and planning to meet business needs
• Acting as the single point of contact to the assigned stakeholder groups for all Legal questions, including strategic assistance and guidance
• Assist in developing, implementing and communicating legal strategies for Roche Diagnostics businesses together with other lawyers, IT and cybersecurity functions and senior leadership.
• Performance of other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications of the position:

• Education: Master degree in Law from Indian University; admission to the Bar in India
• Professional experience/duration: 5+ years of experience in a corporate healthcare or technology/IT company.
• Specialist knowledge: Labour law, Data Privacy laws in APAC region, contract law, IP
• Travel % required (if applicable): 10%
