We are looking for a Senior Lead AEM Engineer to join our Studio working in a Feature Team delivering change across our marketing technology estate. Accountabilities:

• Project Delivery: Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) projects, meeting both external and internal quality standards.
• Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices and coding guidelines.
• System Performance: Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of AEM instances.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for AEM solutions, including technical specifications, system configurations, and user guides.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all AEM implementations comply with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest AEM features, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within projects.
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of stakeholder satisfaction by delivering solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.

Responsibilities:

• AEM Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom components, templates, and workflows in AEM to meet business requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other development team members to deliver cohesive and comprehensive digital solutions.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AEM implementations, providing timely support and fixes.
• Integration: Integrate AEM with other enterprise systems, including CRMs, analytics platforms, and marketing automation tools.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and quality of the delivered solutions.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and contribute to their professional development through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
• Configuration Management: Manage and configure AEM instances, including setting up authoring and publishing environments, replication agents, and dispatcher configurations.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement within the development process, recommending and implementing enhancements to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Must be an expert in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5
• Strong working knowledge of AEM/Adobe CQ/Digital Marketing Suite
• Proven ability with AEM development and AEM Content Management System

• Must have experience in Java development for AEM and associated technologies like Sling, OSGI, Felix, Jackrabbit, JCR, CRX and Dispatchers
• Ability to design modules, components and end-to-end implementations of AEM
• Frontend knowledge and skills would enhance your application:

• React for our Design System and Single Page Apps.
• Semantic HTML, CSS / SCSS / CSS in JS, JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, Webpack, Lerna, Yarn and NPM
• Jest, Enzyme and Cypress testing.
• Sonarqube and Checkmarx for static code analysis and security scanning
• Able to use team collaboration tools \xe2\x80\x93 Teams, Jira, Confluence, etc.

Experience:

• 10+ years of industry experience and predominantly in Content Management Systems
• At least 7 years of specific AEM experience is mandatory
• Experience acting as a subject matter expert on AEM and related technologies
• Experience with release processes including automated CI/CD DevOps pipelines to get code through test environments and to production
• Experience working in fast paced agile environments and have understanding of agile/scrum project planning, execution and risk management
• Solid knowledge of design patterns and refactoring concepts
• Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problem analysis
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in AEM and related technologies
• Ability to come up with creative solutions for ambiguous problems and learn quickly
• Experience contributing to, and achieving, continuous improvement goals
