Job Description

As a Senior Java software engineer in the Trade Execution Team, youll take ownership of your work from elaboration to delivery. Youll take requirements, develop and extend solutions, test them and work with our stakeholders to deliver them. This will include: Interact with our senior developers and architects to analyse needs and requirements Design and code solutions to meet these requirements Deliver high-quality support and assurance as the work is rolled out Possess the ability to grow in the role and take ownership of projects end to end, whilst learning and innovating Mentor more junior members of the team Take ownership from requirements through to successful operation in production Collaborate with the DMA Technical leadership team and make use of the Agile development life cycle What we re looking for We are looking for a bright, driven, flexible, self-starting, enthusiastic senior developer who will be willing and able to help colleagues; articulate communication skills; operationally conscious and flexible to changing priorities and requirements. 6+ years Java (jdk 8+) development experience and related technologies Mandatory - and related technologies: Spring Framework, JMS, etc. Experience in developing Restful web services using Apache Tomcat A firm believer in the value of agile development methodologies Test Driven Development, and Continuous Delivery Quick to assimilate new ideas and concepts - productive from day one in the role A committed team player with a practical approach to problem-solving, you will show a high level of initiative Excellent attention to detail when under pressure and takes delivery commitments seriously Understanding of Spring security, docker and microservices Strong multi-threading / concurrent programming in Java.
