The Senior IT Manager for Finance is responsible for managing and delivering complex SAP Finance projects, with a strong emphasis on S/4HANA. This role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a blend of strategic planning, problem-solving, and team leadership. The role requires extensive knowledge in areas including Finance, Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Product Costing and working experience in Order to Cash, Sales and Distribution, and Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance.
A Day in the Life
Lead the daily stand-up meeting to discuss project updates, timelines, milestones, prioritization, develop mitigation strategies and address roadblocks.
Meet with business stakeholders to discuss project requirements and updates.
Provide guidance and conduct technical review sessions to ensure the technical solutions align with business needs.
Review the quality standards to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Review the project budget, track expenses and prepare financial reports for senior management.
Organize training sessions on new SAP features with focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the team.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements 18+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering or MCA or M.Sc. or 16+ years of experience with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP Finance modules (FI, CO, FSCM, etc.), with a focus on SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
Experience with SAP upgrade and S/4HANA implementation.
Experience with Global rollouts.
Strong virtual communication skills across all levels of Business and IT organizations
Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Nice to Have
Prior Pharma and/or Medical Device experience is desired.
Familiarization with automation tools and Robotic Processing (RPA)
