• Responsible for identification, and protection of different forms of Intellectual Properties (Patent, Trademark, Copyright, Industrial Design, Trade Secrets, Know-How, etc.,) creating by product companies of different business areas such as Compressor Technique, Power Technique, Vacuum Technique, Industrial Technique of Atlas Copco Group company and the divisions making part thereof with their subsidiaries across the world.
• Support product companies in conducting, advising, and providing opinions on Patent analytics matters including Novelty/Patentability search, Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) studies/Infringement analysis/ clearance analysis, Validity/Invalidity search, State-of-the-art search, Prior art search, Non-Patent Literatures search, Technology/Patent landscape/White-space analysis.
• Collaborate with different IP teams within the Atlas Copco Group for executing required IP related matters.
• Provide Intellectual Property (IP) awareness trainings and educational materials within the organisation.
• Collaborate with a network of IP Law firms around the world for managing and/or executing required IP related matters.
• Draft Provisional/Non-Provisional Patent applications for the inventions/innovations creating by the Atas Copco.
• Draft responses to the First Examination Report (FER) issued by the Indian Patent Office (IPO), appear before the Controller for the hearings issued by the Indian Patent Office (IPO) for the examined Patent applications of the Atlas Copco, and follow required procedural/formal requirements of the Indian Patents Act and Rules.
• Draft Patent opposition responses, appear before the Controller for the Patent opposition hearings issued by the Indian Patent Office (IPO), follow required procedural/formal requirements of the Indian Patents Act and Rules.
• Hands-on experience with paid Patent search tools/databases or Patent analytics tools/databases or AI powered Patent search tools/databases.
• Experience in drafting, filing and follow procedural/formal requirements for other forms of IPs such as Industrial Design/Trademark/Copyright will be plus.
• Monitor and analyse competitors\' intellectual property activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.

To succeed, you will need

• Master's/bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably but not necessarily mechanical engineering) or equal by experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in IP domain, preferably with engineering degree, Indian Patent agent is preferred (not mandatory).

• Experience in closely working with inventors/R&D team for the identification of different forms of intellectual properties.
• Experience in Patent analytics/different types of Patent searches.
• Experience in drafting of Provisional and Complete Patent applications.
• Experience in drafting responses to the First Examination Report (FER) issued by Indian Patent Office, appear before the Controller of the Indian Patent Office (IPO) for hearings.
• Experience in drafting responses to the Patent opposition issued by the Indian Patent Office (IPO), appear before the Controller of the Indian Patent Office (IPO) for hearings related to opposition matters.
• Good planner, be able to function in a team and to work independently as well, take initiative and be able to show great well-organised structure in the work.
• Candidate should be a confident team player with strong technical and analytical skills, who can effectively manage various tasks and responsibilities and prioritize workflow in order to meet strict deadlines.
• Fluent in English.
• Pro-active, self-motivated, methodical, positive team player with good interpersonal skills, strong in communication and people oriented who thrives on working in a dynamic, complex, multicultural business environment and should be able to work independently.
• Creativity: Ability to come up with solutions to exceptional problems outside the box.
