Work closely with clients and stakeholders to establish project goals and objectives, and translate these into design solutions that are innovative, functional, and on-brand. Conduct research on new products, materials, and design trends to ensure that design concepts are innovative and relevant. Mentor and provide guidance to junior and intermediate designers to support their professional development. Contribute to the development of company standards, processes, and best practices. Develop detailed drawings and specifications, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, and communicate these effectively to project teams. Review and provide feedback on shop drawings, construction documents, and other project-related materials to ensure that design intent is being met. Conduct site visits and coordinate with project teams to ensure that design solutions are being implemented as intended. Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, proposal writing, and relationship-building. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project. Oversee the quality of project deliverables to ensure that they meet or exceed client expectations. Contribute to the development of workplace design strategies and trends, positioning the company as a thought leader in the industry.
