Position Description

1. General

The Integration and configuration engineer is globally responsible for the On-Board Telematics SW integration, configure and release and the coordination of regression of the software product. The On-Board Telematics Software Product consists of several configurations of the Telematics Software aimed for different E2E-products (this is called a Product Line).

2. Purpose

• The purpose of this role is to Integrate, test, coordinate the release work for each release of the software product. \xe2\x80\xa2 Globally plan, coordinate, track and report progress of the P-release regression for OBT SW delivery.

3. Responsibility and Deliveries

- Be globally responsible for each SW release of the Software Product.

• Be responsible for each release
• Coordinate the release
• Communicate progress and status of the release
• Coordinate showstopper status globally
• Responsible to drive improvements of the release work

- Update and maintain a SW Release plan.

• Built upon the EE release plan.
• Inform Remote release manager of the Release plan.

- Approval of product release related documentation.

• Participate in reviews of release related documentation e.g. Release document and verification reports.

- Act as globally release responsible of the Software Product in different forums

• Participate in OBT Project Control meetings.
• SW Backlog Forum
• Remote Release Board
• SW EDR Meetings

- Be the Regression Verification Leader responsible for:

• Define and plan the global P-release regression verification scope
• Get the global P-release regression verification scope approved by the SW Product Owner
• Breaking down P-release regression scope to Epics and Stories
• Follow up the regression verification scope according to plan
• Report regression verification status continuously
• To create and deliver the P-release Regression Verification Report
• Be the interface to XF teams during the regression work
• Give the go-ahead to the teams to start the verification when the builds are available

4. Authorities

• Approval of release documentation such as Verification report, SW Version Description documents, Release time plans.
• Decide when to do a release build
• Escalate risks and problems to OBT organization
• Approve regression deliveries from Backlogs

7. Preferred competences

• Good programming skills in any one of the scripting languages like C, Python, Perl or Ruby
• Good understanding of GIT,JIRA ,Jenkins and Confluence
• Working knowledge of Jenkins, bitbucket, and CI/CD and CT pipeline.
• Effective communication skills
• Over-all knowledge of system development and software development
• System and Software architecture
• SW Product line theory, see ref [1]
• Knowledge about agile work methods

• General knowledge about E2E functional requirements
