Position Details:

Position: Senior Implementation Specialist / Project Manager
Location: Andheri, Mumbai
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field
Experience: 7-15 years
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH)

Role Overview:

This role focuses on the configuration of the company's software package using provided tools, rather than traditional code development. While development skills are not required, a strong understanding of development principles will enhance the implementation process. The position requires a strong analytical mindset to understand business data and manage its quality. You will be part of the Professional Services team, playing a pivotal role in implementing software solutions for clients.

What Does an Implementation Specialist Do?

As an Implementation Specialist, your role is crucial after a client purchases a product. You will work with clients to customize features, define objectives, and deliver training sessions to ensure a smooth transition and positive experience with the product. You will work closely with a project manager or Implementation Manager, often collaborating with other Implementation Specialists.

While most of the work will be office-based, there may be occasional client visits.

Desired Industry Experience:

We are looking for candidates who have prior experience in IT, specifically within the data management space for financial instruments like Equities, Bonds, FX, Futures, Forwards, Options, Swaps, Volatilities, Credit Curves, and Commodities.

Preferred Domain Expertise: Asset Management, Custody, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Risk Management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create detailed low-level designs from high-level specifications.
• Develop, build, and test components based on design specifications.
• Perform unit testing and develop necessary test harnesses.
• Adhere to internal standards and procedures.
• Accurately track and report progress on tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of information.

Key Skills & Experience:

Core Skills:

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and data structures.
• Expertise in Core Java and/or RDBMS.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux (Scripting skills are a plus).

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in J2EE concepts and experience with application servers like JBOSS or WebLogic.
• Familiarity with queuing technologies such as Kafka, MQ, and Solace.
• Scripting experience (Python, Unix, Java).
• Knowledge of DevOps processes and tools, including test automation.
