Join us!Your OpportunityStantec is looking for a Senior Highway Design Engineer that can be a part of our growing team in Pune office. The candidate will be working with Highway engineers and other senior staff in successful delivery of projects. At Stantec we put people first by delivering exciting career opportunities. Produce and review design solutions from outline briefs, correctly interpret data and effectively communicate to others.2. Manage the design and drafting team(s) allocated on projects.3. Training and mentoring staff, proposal preparation, project presentation, project management and budget management.4. Check design and assessment calculations and review detailed drawings.5. Work on multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.6. Ensure delivery of project in accordance with quality, timescales, and budget.7. Produce and reviews designs, drawings and budgets to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution and budgets will be met.8. Plan, program, co-ordinate project teams and tasks.9. Exercise quality control of team deliverables.10. Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.11. Maintain records of all reports/drawings/documents.Your Capabilities and Credentials1. Minimum 10 years professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry after graduate education, technical knowledge of road design in Open Roads.2. Civil3D and / or Inroads and/or 12D knowledge is a plus.3. Good knowledge of all aspects of technical standards and design codes such as AASHTO, Austroads, DMRB.4. Design delivery in Open Roads on North American projects using AASHTO is a must.5. Ability to take decisions independently and take directions from Seniors.6. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite7. Effective communicator and able to work under tight schedule8. Competent level of client service management, i.e.: able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our clients.9. Strong organizational and problem resolutions skills.10. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialists11. Mentoring and providing guidance to the team.12. Travel & other job demandsEducation and Experience1. A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Masters degree in Highway/Transportation Engineering with 10+ years of experience in design and documentation of roadway/highway projects. Experience on international projects and particularly North American projects is a must.2. Software Skills:3. Knowledge of and project delivery in Open Roads is a must. Knowledge of Civil 3D and/or 12D is a plus. Infraworks/Navisworks experience is a plus.4.
