L&T Infrastructure Engineering is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer - Senior for Chennai Location.

Total experience :18 to 24 Years

Qualification: UG \xe2\x80\x93 Bachelors in Civil Engineering

PG \xe2\x80\x93 Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Geotechnical / Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering

Work Location: Chennai

Roles and Requirement:

• Candidate should lead the geotechnical teams and able to deliver geotechnical design on complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Provide foundation recommendation & geotechnical design solution to complex projects.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of geotechnical engineering work for a different business line in a project or staff group.
• Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials.
• Performs work using Standard Application Programs and appropriate computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.
• Expertise in applied soil mechanics, slope stability analysis, settlement analysis, ground improvement, various foundation designs, RF wall designs etc.
• Thorough knowledge of Geotechnical engineering for transportation infrastructure and building works and possessing capability to originate engineering and design calculations.
• Thorough knowledge of geotechnical investigations reporting and engineering interpretations for building and transportation infrastructure works
• Knowledge of the application of Geotechnical engineering to constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.

• Understanding of engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods.

• Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.
• Thorough knowledge of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertaining to the Geotechnical engineering discipline.
• Skill in oral and written communication
