: Senior Geotechnical Design EngineerLocation: Kolkata, IndiaPosition Type: Full-timeExperience Required: 7-10 yearsEducation: M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalentJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead our geotechnical design team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing retaining structures, slope stabilization, and conducting quality audits. This role involves overseeing projects from conception through completion, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of safety and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership:- Lead the design and analysis of reinforced soil walls (RS walls) and slope stabilization projects.- Conduct detailed geotechnical analyses, including slope stability assessments and foundation design.Project Management :- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring compliance with quality standards.- Interface with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Team Management:- Mentor and guide junior engineers and support staff in technical aspects of geotechnical engineering.Quality Assurance:- Conduct quality audits of geotechnical designs and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.- Implement best practices for geotechnical investigations, data collection, and reporting.Field Investigations:- Oversee field investigations for soil and rock properties, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.- Coordinate with laboratory teams to perform necessary tests on soil samples.Qualifications- M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical design, particularly in RS wall design and slope stabilization.- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing complex projects.- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS) for modeling and analysis.- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and environmental considerations.Skills :- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.- Familiarity with quality control processes in engineering projects.
