The Opportunity We are an ambitious team and are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join us to help continue the 1707 Capital growth story! You will be responsible for the development of new transformational products for our portfolio companies, enabling digital transformation and embedding cutting edge technology, such as Generative AI. You will also help us digitize and transform company operations to achieve next level productivity and new business models. Why you We are in search of a highly-skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer who can brings technical expertise in web and mobile application development and understands how to build scalable products. We are looking for a proactive, super-organized, dedicated person who wants to make a big impression. You will have a strong technical base, but you will be happy working with different stakeholders - this role reports to Head of Digital. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the entire software development lifecycle and be able to take on tasks and provide guidance across all stages. As a key player in our small team, you will be responsible for leading the development of cutting-edge applications and solutions that will drive our business forward, while also building and nurturing a new team of developers. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and back-end technologies such as Node.js. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js, Python Implement user interfaces with a focus on excellent user experience, functionality, and aesthetics Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Implement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and other developers to understand requirements, align with business goals, and deliver innovative solutions Apply your knowledge of Generative AI technologies to create unique and engaging user experiences Guide and mentor team members across the entire software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and pivot priorities as needed to deliver results Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software Create security and data protection settings Write technical documentation Implement best practices across coding, testing and documentation Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software Balance technical and business perspectives, contributing to decision-making and problem-solving Establish and grow a high-performing team of developers, setting the foundation for future success Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Worked in a successful start up or a well-known technology company (AWS, Google, Paytm, etc.) Experience leading a team of developers and delivering a complex product from concept to deployment Experience setting up the development operating model, defining and implementing scalable processes Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full stack JavaScript (Node.js, Express.js, React.js) development, including expertise in front-end and back-end technologies Experience with back-end data management that optimizes RESTful APIs / microservices performance for varied user platforms - desktop, mobile (iOS), web services, and more Experience designing and implementing databases using technologies like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL Strong experience in building web and mobile applications with a focus on exceptional UI design Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes Comprehensive understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA, Git) Experience with Generative AI technologies, such as GPT, DALL-E, LaMDA or open source models (Hugging Face) Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environment, and adapt to changing priorities Proven track record of self-motivation, problem-solving, and taking ownership of projects Excellent communication (Fluent in English) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Preferred Skills Experience with popular machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras Good understanding of machine learning algorithms, especially generative models What\'s in it for you Excitement, the ability to make a big difference to a diverse group of businesses quickly with cutting edge technology.
