We are hiring for one of our leading clients.Client: A Leading D2C baby product brand was founded in 2014 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Company is having annual turnover of around 120 Crs & employee strength of 120 employees & they are providing international safety standard certified bay products by their e-commerce website & online market platforms like Amazon, Flipkart & other leading online & offline platforms.Job Title xe2x80x93 Senior Executive PurchaseWorking days and timings - 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM (2nd & 4th Saturday off)Location xe2x80x93 AhmedabadExperience: - 5-7 years of relevant experienceQualification - Any graduateKey Responsibilities:Import Handling:

  • Oversee the end-to-end import process for goods and materials from international suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and tariff classifications.
  • Work closely with logistics and customs teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
  • Manage documentation and communication with customs authorities to resolve any import-related issues
  • Analyze market trends and supplier offerings to identify cost-saving opportunities in the import process.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and work to resolve issues as needed.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, lead time, and reliability.
New Product Development:
  • Collaborate with the product development team to source and procure raw materials or components for new products targeting international markets.
  • Support the development and launch of new products by managing procurement timelines and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Identify international market trends and customer preferences to contribute to the development of new product lines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the product development cycle is efficient and meets market needs.
Market Analysis & Research:
  • Conduct market research on international suppliers, competitors, and market demand to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Identify new products and solutions in global markets to improve the company's product offerings.
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, market trends, and new product opportunities.
Cost Management:
  • Analyze procurement costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management to avoid excess stock or stockouts.
  • Work with finance to track and control procurement-related expenses.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, import handling, and product development, with a strong focus on international markets.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, tariffs, customs processes, and import logistics.
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and new product development cycles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work with international vendors and partners.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain management tools is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with international trade laws and the ability to stay updated on changes in regulations.
  • Experience with sourcing from diverse international markets.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g.,Chinese, Mandarin, Spanish, French) is an asset.
Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Benefits for their employees: -
