:This is a professional entry level operations position within Everests Casualty Division. The Underwriting Assistant I is responsible for the management and processing of an assigned portfolio of business.Major Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Review incoming transactions and related information for completeness accuracy and quality.\xc2\xb7 Multi-line new business submissions, renewal submissions and endorsements processing including rating, policy construction and assembly in a timely and accurate manner\xc2\xb7 Regularly reviews and adheres to department processing guidelines and procedures to ensure accuracy.\xc2\xb7 Manage underwriting relationships with timely responses relative to service inquiries.\xc2\xb7 Maintain all correspondence activity with internal and external customers including daily diaries on pending transactions.\xc2\xb7 Compliance with ODEN state rules and regulations relative to cancellations and reinstatements.\xc2\xb7 Gathering underwriting information including experience reports, final audits, loss control reports, financial reports, loss runs, MVRs, and FEINs.\xc2\xb7 Special projects as needed.Competencies:\xc2\xb7 Strong desk management, written and verbal communication skills\xc2\xb7 Ability to multi task and to independently organize work and prioritize competing demands and requests to complete work within required time constraints.\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of underwriting principles, product specific coverage, policy forms, pricing tools, regulatory compliance and insurance systems\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate proficiency in using on line reference manuals and ability to effective and regularly use multiple electronic systems\xc2\xb7 The ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple deadlines
