About the Organisation:

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centres is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500 odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha and in Hyderabad.

About the Role:

You will be the face of Human Resources in the specified region. Your responsibilities include Talent Acquisition for the Region, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Documentation and updation of data and employee records. You will also assist in maintenance of training records and feedback, provide support for other regions when necessary and help in coordination for HR based work in the region. Provide HR support to the region in line with organisation requirements and HR functional strategy. Ensure HR strategy, policies and systems are implemented in the region. Organise culture building and workplace improvement and ensure resolving conflicts, regional meetings, open forums, create spaces for get-togethers etc. The position requires a lot of communication with all functions of the region.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail. You must be able to work independently and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Your role to supplement the Organisational goals:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

• Assist in the onboarding process for all new hires for the specific region, ensuring seamless integration into the organisation.
• Manage the onboarding process for all new hires, including completing paperwork, verifying information, and ensuring all documents are properly filed on HRMS.
• Provide an updated list for Insurance, visiting cards, ID cards,HRMS for further processing and ensure that the employees receive the same.

Performance Management: Coordinate the KRA setting process by sharing templates, following up with team members and ensuring proper documentation.

• Coordinate and drive the performance appraisal process for mid-year and annual reviews, including sharing templates, scheduling discussions, monitoring progress and assisting staff with queries.
• Manage documentation related to performance management, prepare reports/ letters.
• Coordinate on renewal of contracts and ensure the process is completed and letters issued as per recommendation received.

Employee Engagement, L&D and Well-being:

• Address employee HR requests and assist with their concerns promptly, ensuring a supportive work environment.
• Assist in managing team meeting/ bonding spaces and ensure activities are conducted to engage employees and provide a positive experience.
• Coordinate monthly learning and well-being sessions, including assisting in the selection of topics, managing communications and organising the sessions in collaboration with the leadership team.
• Support in the creation and updating of culture-based documents like Values, Beliefs, Culture code etc.
• Assist in planning and executing in-person events such as team offsites, including venue selection, logistics coordination and activity planning.

HR Documentation, Analytics and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database.

• Analyse HR data to identify trends, patterns and insights for data-driven decision-making.
• Stay current with HR trends and best practices to continuously improve the HR function.
• Support and work closely with Manager-HR to ensure smooth operations in the department.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations, including filing of relevant forms/documentation.
• Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies in collaboration with the leadership team.

Who we are looking for:

• Education: Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of demonstrated success in HR role.
• Excellent communication skill with fluency in English.
• Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to develop relationships within the organisation.
• Proficiency in HR software programs (e.g., Zoho, GreyHR, Slack).
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive HR initiatives effectively.
• Experience of executing HR initiatives, new programmes and process implementations desirable.
