About the role
To oversee all the activities for ensuring Adecco India's functioning being compliant to all relevant and applicable laws and rules.
What you'll be doing
1.Labour Law Compliances
Responsible for the procedures and compliances for the following Labour Laws
• Minimum Wages Act
• Employees State Insurance
• Provident Fund
• Equal Remuneration Act
• Maternity benefit Act
• Factories Act
• Shops and Establishment Act
• Workmen's Compensation Act
• Payment of Bonus Act
• Contract Labour Act
• Apprentices Act
• Professional tax/ rules
• Income tax Act - provisions relating to Salaries as a source of income
2. Thorough knowledge of compliances under each Act wrt applicable State and Central Laws
Payments of timely returns
Obtaining, Renewals, Registrations etc of licenses under applicable Acts
Preparation and Maintenance of various registers under applicable Acts
3. Documentation wrt to various category of employment and their respective salary and tax calculations.
To provide/ design standard templates on salary computation, ascertaining tax liability, etc. for various types of engaging contract labour/ retainers/trainees/Management trainees etc
4. Partnering with operational teams on labour Issues.
Guiding and advising on various matters of labour laws and thereby being a subject matter expert on the same
5. Liasioning with various parties representing Adecco
Will have to deal with external as well as internal parties (clients, government departments, advocates, regional teams) for matters like audits, inspection, legal cases, legal consultations etc.
