- Expert /Senior Executive

Role:

This position is responsible for purchase activities, PR conversions, materials planning to meet the production/customer requirements. These are materials with SAP part numbers that are necessary for fulfilling customer orders (ex. Bought out items, Packaging materials to support production), require local inventory management (whether it is independent demand inventory or MRP/planned orders) are considered operationally driven purchases. This role involves interaction with supplier, planners, Production, Engineering, Procurement, warehouse & finance.

The Role involves - * Converting and releasing Purchase requisitions to Purchase order based on info record/Source Details.

• Follow-up for materials, order acknowledgement, tracking order status and communicating with Suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and escalating at the right time, if things go out of control.
• Arranging advance payments (if any) in co-ordination with Finance and also ensuring reconciliation once materials are received.
• Coordinating with Suppliers/inbound logistics/Quality/procurement/Engineering/Warehouse to ensure timely availability of material to Production
• Conducting monthly meetings with low performer suppliers to improve delivery
• Handling rejections, supplier grievances and coordinating for implementing corrective actions. Addressing supplier grievances with respect to payment, statutory forms etc. ensuring seamless supply of materials.
• Ensuring that all business activities conducted personally comply with the Indian legal requirements and the highest environmental and ethical business standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• University Degree (Science/Commerce/Engineering)
• 4-5 years\' experience in a Purchasing or Sourcing role (Insight to Planning process an added advantage)
• 2+ years\' experience in SAP transactional activities
• Knowledge of work processes & Quality Management system (ISO)
• Fluent in English (Written & verbal communication) with ability to work in an international team
• Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to work on multiple activities and projects in an organized and timely manner. Experience in pro-actively driving improvement initiatives and finding best-practice solutions for customers
• Customer oriented and have a good understanding of business requirements with strong determination and self-motivation
• Hands on experience in MS Excel & Power point
