Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues. Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process \xe2\x80\xa2 Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings \xe2\x80\xa2 Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required \xe2\x80\xa2 May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide communication between ES, Engineering, and Production \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicate with production to relay problems, changes, or request information as needed \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide feedback observations and data to the engineering group to help resolve chronic problems or experiments \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist engineer on projects to improve overall test equipment efficiency and effectiveness \xe2\x80\xa2 Support continuous improvement projects to improve yield \xe2\x80\xa2 Propose and execute improvement projects to desired results \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform FA analysis from PE request COMPLY WITH STANDARDS FOR SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, SECURITY, and BUSINESS CONTINUITY \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicates any problems or concerns to the appropriate individual immediately. Ensure proper notification for any event, including \xe2\x80\x9cnear miss\xe2\x80\x9d occurrences. \xe2\x80\xa2 Promotes a positive culture for safety and environmental programs at MTV by adhering to the safety expectations for your team and by holding other team members accountable \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures a healthy and safe work environment for all team members by identifying risks to our local environment and escalating in the proper fashion to ensure that they are minimized \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures all safety and environmental compliance-related work tasks are being completed in accordance to existing requirements (LOTO, audits, training, Job Hazard Analysis, use of proper PPE, evacuation procedures). \xe2\x80\xa2 Comply with all safety and environmental policies, where applicable, and hold other team members accountable when performance gaps exist.
