The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel\'s India offices.You will bring your experience and expertise to the PMC role while working within the customer\'s organization as part of an integrated team. Applies broad and diversified knowledge of environmental engineering principles and practices to the project. Makes decisions independently concerning problems within the environmental discipline on the project. Represents the environmental discipline on the project with Contractors and Owner to resolve technical questions and as required to coordinate work.Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor Contractors\' engineering progress in environmental discipline and reports to project management.
  • Review the design scope and deliverables of environmental discipline to ensure Contractors perform all work to agreed standards for safety, health and environment.
  • Coordinate with other leaders within the project organization to ensure that multi-discipline interfaces are properly addressed with resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and participate in reviews of Contractors\' engineering documents/deliverables within environmental discipline to ensure compliance with the contract requirements, including project procedures, project specifications and applicable codes and standards. Monitor status of Contractor documents reviews for environmental discipline.
  • Actively participate in design reviews and HAZOP, HAZID/ENVID, etc. studies.
  • Work with other PMC lead discipline engineers to ensure that all interfaces between disciplines are clearly defined and recorded.
  • Promote the creation of a work environment supported by leadership which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation and satisfaction.
  • Participate in project technical reviews, progress and review meetings.
  • Prepare environmental engineering deliverables relating to regulatory compliance, air emissions and water/wastewater treatment.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review designs, studies, reports and proposals.
  • Take the initiative to coordinate the design development of a system with other engineering disciplines while managing workload and meeting schedule due dates.
  • Show knowledge of and perform standard discipline engineering activities on projects with minimal technical oversight.
  • Interface with overall project team and client on a regular basis showing excellent communication skills.
  • Review of and input to OSBL environmental engineering scope including water & industrial wastewater treatment, process flow diagrams, equipment datasheets and drainage philosophy.
  • Review of and input to Licensor deliverables including equipment datasheets, effluent and emission summaries and drawings.
  • Ensure that project is compliant with federal and state environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Review permit material for air and effluent emission compliance.
  • Compile technical lists and inventories such as emissions and effluents summaries including calculations as required.
  • Deliver excellent quality work, showing thoroughness and rigour in checking and attention to detail.
Qualifications and SkillsBasic Qualifications
  • Hold a recognized degree in environmental, chemical/process or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Display excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them for design execution.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision showing a high degree of professionalism.
  • Have familiarity with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes.
  • Be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) or shows willingness to complete.
  • Have experience in EPC industry and with large-scale project execution.
  • Have experience as previous PMC / Owners\' Engineer.
Additional Qualifications
  • Previous Chemical or Petrochemical experience.
  • Previous experience of working in India.
  • Expertise in assessing of air emissions from industrial sources.
  • Expertise in designing of water/industrial wastewater systems.
  • Experience of managing 3rd party contractors for ESIA/EIA, air dispersion modelling, effluent dispersion modelling, etc.
