The role is responsible for working with the GE Healthcare Business Leaders, and Global EHS (Environmental Health & Safety)Staff to develop and deploy Environmental Health & Safety programs & policies to mitigate risk, drive regulatory compliance and establish a positive EHS culture. This include driving business EHS goals, programs, and processes for the zones within South Asia . The EHS Lead will be responsible for day-to-day EHS leadership and support, which includes the development, planning and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety programs based on local regulations and GEHC Policies.

Roles and Responsibilities
Manage implementation of EHS programs by operationalizing EHS partnering with leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws, local regulations and GE/GEHC policies.
Strategize & operationalize EHS for Commercial, Services, Projects, Install, Channel partners and Contractor compliance requirements, with additional focus, rigor & balance.
Buildup EHS Priorities with local leaders and drive rigor and execution to EHS objectives & metrics.
Partner with install team to drive the following, in addition to all the operational challenges listed under HPM across the region. Driving GEHC Lifting operations standard requirements (Lift Plan, Crane Safety, Pre-mobilization compliance & Verification), Training session on Lifting, Tools & equipments, regulatory compliance (Test certificates) etc. , Loading / Unloading (Logistics EHS Management) , Tool inspections & compliance (including services) and Document management
Drive compliance programs and establish process to ensure 100% compliance to applicable regulations.
Support EHS compliance and program audits for service operations & projects. Provide follow-up and support post governance/business audit to ensure execution to action plan, risk mitigation & program improvements
Provide coaching to operations team in driving EHS programs with rigor and partner to integrate EHS in day to day operations.
Drive active EHS engagement & management of change for business strategy related to new product introductions, product transfers & rooftop consolidations, etc.
Influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practices
Analyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance
Assure good standing and action plans with GEs Environmental Health & Safety Framework, piloting external contractors or vendors as needed
Interface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies as needed
Drive EHS compliance and programs effectiveness through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspections
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering or related field
8+ years experience leading environmental and safety compliance programs in a distributed workforce / manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of South Asia EHS related regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated experience with H&S regulations and program management globally

H&S Compliance experience with demonstrated capability of learning requirements and applying this experience
Proven managerial/leadership skills with work planning, delegating & evaluating
Ability to make decisions, even when under pressure & take ownership for assigned projects and programs
