Channel your drive to make a difference into shaping an organization and an industry thatxe2x80x99s evolving fast to the future.Job Summary:Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) is looking for a highly motivated Senior Structures Engineer to join our Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) Commercial Repairs team. This position involves analyzing repairs to ensure they meet original equipment manufacturing (OEM) requirements, supporting customer safety, cost, and reliability objectives. ASE is uniquely linked between the engine development / certification and aftermarket and field support engine life cycles. This results in our repairs having a direct impact on the bottom line of Pratt & Whitneyxe2x80x99s maintenance repair and overhaul revenue and success. The Senior Structures Engineer closely interacts with fellow ASE engineers from structures, design, project, and program, along with other module center engineers from the CIPT and design metallurgy, among others, to develop technical data to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the structural assessments of repairs to commercial engine components.
• Knowledge of Integrated Product Development (IPD), Structures Engineering Knowledge System (EKS), and the Product Design Review process.
• Coordinate structural analysis requirements for repairs with other ASE technical disciplines and module centers/Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs).
• Participate on multi-disciplinary teams to provide design solutions that meet design and life requirements.
• Work independently on structural analysis solutions when historical solutions are not available or applicable. Analysis may include both classical methods and/or detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Coordinate with others to advance the technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods, plus document and present results to management and customers.
• Primary focal for structural analysis memos (SAMs) and provide structures review/approval for all repair documents.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 to 12 years of experience with a Masters degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Production)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of ANSYS or other FEA software
• Awareness of manufacturing and/or repair processes
• Strong understanding of low cycle fatigue and fatigue and fracture analysis theory and applications.
• Experience using Pratt & Whitney/industry lifing systems: PWLIFE, ARLS, or crack growth (SURCK, Darwin, Franc3D) systems a plus.
• Background in turbomachinery
• Familiarity with Raytheon Technologies CORE Operating System
