Job Title Senior Engineering Manager R&D Senior Engineering Manager R&D You will be a member of the CT/AMI Image Chain R&D leadership team and will provide leadership for the LCM activities focused on X-Ray Generators. This team is responsible for LCM of X-Ray Generators, a core Unit in CT Gantries, Diagnostic X-Ray systems and other X-Ray modalities. You will serve as a people leader with direct responsibility for development and growth of this team and serve as a champion of the Philips Culture to the greater development organization. Your role: Ensuring appropriate personnel management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and management development policy. Ensuring appropriate lab and test facilities to independently test and verify changes on part, unit and product level according to necessary standards and Q&R requirements. Ensuring an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment in the department by motivating, challenging, and coaching the department\'s employees towards growth, manages and optimizes the innovative climate, stimulating entrepreneurship and driving engagement. Successfully interacting with a matrixed project team including Project Management, Product Management, Global CT/AMI IC R&D Development teams, Global Sourcing, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Service to achieve project and product objectives for safety, performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost, quality, and time to market. Prepare and communicate project overviews and status reports to upper management. Ensure adherence to good Hardware engineering practices, procedures, and Quality System Requirements. You\'re the right fit if: Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree from an accredited school in an engineering/technical discipline and ideally a postgraduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics engineering or equivalent discipline. 15+ years in product development with 5+ years experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team developing medical devices, ideally with experience in X-Ray Generators or similar technologies Life Cycle Management Lean / Agile Development Highly regulated industries (medical, aerospace) Strong experience in managing a multi-disciplined team of hardware and mechanical development and test & verification engineers as well as LCM engineers development, engagement, performance management. Strong interpersonal, planning, communication, attention to detail, and self-starter skills. Strong ability to work cross-culturally in a global environment.
