Job Title: Senior Engineer - AWS Data Engineer (AWS Glue, Pyspark, Snowflake, Talend)
Location: Onward Group, Chennai

Job Summary:
Onward Group is seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS Glue , Pyspark , Snowflake DB , and Talend ETL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ETL development, data integration, and system optimization, with a focus on AWS and Snowflake environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Design & Impact Analysis:

Contribute to the technical design, perform impact analysis, and conduct code reviews for complex logic changes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate technical delivery.

System Performance & Modernization:

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and propose solutions for modernizing the existing system.
• Recommend best practices for code optimization and application performance enhancement.

Data Integration Using Talend:

• Develop and maintain applications using Talend Open Studio/DI for data integration across multiple sources.
• Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.

Database & SQL Expertise:

• Work extensively with Snowflake DB and AWS services such as S3 , Lambda for data processing.
• Use advanced SQL knowledge for query authoring and relational database management.

Testing & Performance Monitoring:

• Develop test cases, and perform unit testing, system integration testing, and performance/load testing.
• Monitor batch jobs, identify issues, and optimize code to ensure smooth execution.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Act as an independent contributor with minimal involvement from the technical or business team.
• Provide clear communication on release plans and deliverables with line managers.
• Coordinate with clients and the team to ensure proper delivery and troubleshooting.

Agile and DevOps Methodologies:

• Participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies, and support JIRA , Confluence , and DevOps tools such as Bitbucket/Github .
• Leverage CI/CD pipelines to ensure streamlined and automated delivery processes.

Run & Support Activities:

• Perform run activities, including incident management, problem resolution, service requests, and application monitoring.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in ETL development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Talend Open Studio/DI , Snowflake .
• Expertise in AWS Glue , Pyspark , AWS S3 , AWS Lambda .
• Advanced SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Strong experience in data integration , batch job optimization , and technical design .
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA , Confluence , and DevOps tools ( Bitbucket/Github , CI/CD ).
• Optional Skills:
• Experience in AWS Lambda and Snowflake DB integration.
• Familiarity with Talend performance tuning and system optimization techniques.
