Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Bangalore has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Supply Chain Management / Procurement, This position works closely with the Manufacturing Engineering, Business Development, Projects & Costing team. Should be able to work hands on in the area of part estimation and should be able to manage estimation team & should have Extensive Knowledge on Aerospace Manufacturing

Essential Responsibilities

This role is key to ensuring the Magellan supply chain delivers in line with the delivery schedule. It is the 1st point of contact with the supplier, critical to building the supplier relationship and provides the link between the supplier and business.

• Issue order book from SAP to supplier and manage supplier delivery schedule in line with plan
• Manage changes to the order demand schedule and maintain dates in SAP
• Material coverage \xe2\x80\x93 ensure supplier delivers on-time, expediting where appropriate
• Goods-in and Invoice queries \xe2\x80\x93 lead investigations and drive resolution
• Supplier delivery meetings \xe2\x80\x93 lead weekly supplier delivery meetings and ensure action closure
• Attend daily operational meetings (SQDCP) to provide updates from the suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to drive improvements with suppliers, cost, processes, data or systems
• Should be excellent in Excel. \xe2\x80\x93 Having advance excel experience is also one of the requirement.
• Should have good Communication Skill \xe2\x80\x93 Written & Oral.
• Should have Knowledge on Machining process.
• Should be able to coordinate & do the follow up effectively with suppliers to understand the Product, Parts & Delivery status.
• Should be able to liaison with North American customers & should be able to give updates on the project status periodically.
• Should have knowledge on Purchasing of Aerospace Grade Raw Materials.

Skills * Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and MS
• Single point of contact for customer/s regarding New projects, FAI and production orders
• Present Project updates during customer weekly conference calls
• Production take over planning in co-ordination with CFT
• Continuous monitoring of project progress and ensure on time Execution
• Coordinating for internal, external and customer audits (project related)
• Able to co-ordinate rate readiness assessments, capacity analysis and material, delivery line of balance
• Able to perform & utilize project planning, risk mitigation and other program management tools
• Beneficial to have exposure in working with Boeing & Airbus directly

Position Requirements

• Educational Qualification: BE-Mech/Aero in Manufacturing Sector Preferable Aerospace.
• Years Of Experience (Min. & Max.): Minimum 05-08 years is Costing of CNC machining preferably in Aerospace Industry
• He/ She should have knowledge & experience of various metal cutting processes like \xe2\x80\x93 Turning, Milling, Drilling, boring, slitting etc.
• Knowledge of industry standards, i.e ASME Y14.5, and customer, preferably Boeing and Airbus, PWC & Collins Aerospace requirements.

• Extensive Knowledge on Aerospace Manufacturing.
• Should have Experience in Handling Team.
