This exciting role offers opportunity to: Manage the Quality function effectively and efficiently on new product in a timely manner with right cost. Responsibility includes resources manpower planning, allocation and managing to meet targets. Drive strong discipline on the shop floor in day-to-day operations, quality systems, and standardized processes. Establish goals for quality function in respect to customer satisfaction, new product and PPAP in alignment with the Plant Manager\'s goals and those of the organization. Support the establishment, deployment, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO/TS 16949 quality system in compliance to Customer, Industry and Eaton requirements. Provide quality leadership for process/product control including the identification and implementation of appropriate statistical techniques Provide effective solution on time sensitive and emergency arise in the plant in Safety, Quality, Major Break downs and productivity and ensure smooth continuation of plant operation. Lead Manage employees to drive a high-performance culture. This includes Quality management and rewards/recognition. Lead and/or participate in problem solving activities as needed. Leadership role in Quality related problem solving by bringing in resources from cross Production, Manufacturing Engineering, SCM, Plant Engineer and others as needed. Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System. Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold others accountable for ethical conduct. Select, develop, train, appraise and motivate engineers and other staff positions in the QA dept. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and governance. Ensure compliance to Eaton policies such as Equal Employment Opportunity, Harassment, Safety, and Substance Abuse. Support and strengthen key communities. Responsible for finalizing budgetary requirements for QA equipment\'s. Responsible for promotion of awareness of Eaton Quality System and customer specific requirements throughout the organization. Responsible for rejection analysis and weekly/ monthly review with management Interact with customers for any quality issues. System Related Providing the firm link between various departments for execution of routine activity, continual improvement projects, and organizational goals. Finalizing the budgetary requirement of department. Reporting the daily and monthly MIS to management. Responsible for implementation of drawing modification. Responsible for supplier PPAP. Responsible for all departmental activity in absence of Dept Head. Co-coordinating all capital purchase activity. Follow up with supplier and internal team for various activities. Responsible for monthly inventory. Monitoring COPQ Receipt Inspection Responsible for receipt inspection & GRR Clearance. Planning and conducting the supplier audits Ensuring the approved supplier list, Quality assured supplier list, Self-certified supplier list and the inspection standard for incoming material. Responsible for supplier quality rating. Development of new supplier with material team. Assessment of new supplier. Communicating the nonconformance to supplier for the improvement. GRR clearance. In process Inspection Handling and monitoring the in-process inspection for machine shop & forge shop with the team of line inspector. Responsible for process capability study. Participation in continuous improvement activity. Initiate, suggest & implement corrective & preventive action. Suggest & implement improvement in inspection procedure. Responsible to get correct the quality problem occurred on shop floor. Plan & conduct the process & product audit. Ensuring the entire calibration & MSA system. Ensuring the layout inspection, visual inspection audit & dock audit. Implementation of 5\'S activity of assigned area. Maintaining the document & records for inspection activity. Responsible for the correct rejection booking. Responsible for the complication of sample development report in time. Responsible for multi skilling of entire QA team. Handling functionally crack detection team (MPI & DPT) Customer Quality Responsible for customer requirement has been addressed and meet met. Liaising with external inspection agencies like with DLW. Responsible for Customer PPAP. Qualifications Education - BE Mechanical/ Automobile 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in hard core Quality function. IATF certified. Hands on working experience in supplier, in process, final & customer quality field and customer queries Good in communication, building relationships at all levels. EBS competency required.
