We are looking for a Sr QA Engineer for One of the most innovative and high-profile Data teams in News Corp . You will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills over time, contributing to the success of the team and the organization. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to understand the business and functional requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans and detailed test cases based on customer requirements and/or feedback
  • Document results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality
Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing) Communicate professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Support, design, develop, and enhance test processes and reporting for QA processes
  • Manage testing efforts across multiple projects and tasks under tight deadlines
  • Mentor and provide training assistance to Associate QA Engineers
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate issues as required
  • A team player and self-starter who will work side by side with the development team
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with programming languages and SQL to allow for defect triaging and automation
  • Desire to learn new technologies
Qualification:
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a computer-related field, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience
Must Have:
  • At least 5+ yrs quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments
  • Minimum 2+ yrs experience on SQL using Athena or Bigquery, and good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
  • Basics of Web UI Testing
  • Familiarity with testing BI Reports like Tableau or PowerBI Good To Have:
  • Understanding of testing Soap and Rest APIs using Postman
  • Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium
  • Familiarity with document database like MongoDB or documentDB
