OnsitePurpose of Role: As the Senior Engineer - Purchase, you will manage direct material purchases for the medium & heavy fabrication, fabrication with machining, machining parts and bought-out parts such as instrumentation, valves, and couplings. The ideal candidate will ensure the right quality, cost, and timely delivery of materials.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Generate RFQs and handle technical understanding and negotiations.Negotiate costs and manage vendor relationships.Conduct market analysis and manage inventory.Oversee contract management and PR to PO release in SAP.Expedite with suppliers to meet delivery schedules.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Bachelors Engineering in Tech MechanicalTotal experience of 5-7 years with a minimum of 1 years of working experience in SAP.Well-versed with MS Office package - MS Excel, PowerPointProficient in PTP transaction in SAPStrong understanding of manufacturing process and drawings reading.Sourcing expertise and raw material market knowledge and understanding of steel fabrication processesProficient in cost analysis and project management.
