Job Description

We are seeking a SQL DB with 3-6 years of experience with very good experience on MSSQL Admin activities including Azure, always-on, database migration clustering, etc.,



Skills Required

• Looking for a resource with 3-6 years having experience as Senior SQL DBA
• Responsible for maintaining product SLAs
• Front-line support for end users responding to issues related to problem or incident management
• Responsibility for ensuring the necessary pro-active monitoring is in place
• Should be able to identify potential issues and take action to prevent or resolve them promptly to minimize escalations
• Formulate a problem-solving and decision-making approach to handling issues
• Experienced production support analysts are highly preferred
• Outstanding skills in written & oral communications


Roles and Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of the production database environment.
• Responsible for StandaloneCluster installation and configuration of SQL server
• Updating with the latest service packs and security patches on clustered & standalone servers
• Monitoring and configuring server configuration parameters
• Monitoring and maintaining Azure servers, including backups, security, and connectivity issues, with performance tuning as a key.
• Managing Database disk space (data & log) concerning fragmentation and growth
• Administering Database access, users, and implementation of object permissions through groups and roles
• Writing T-SQL codes for automating and smoothing various database administration tasks
• Using performance counter and profiler to monitor Disk I/O, Processor, Memory, Network, and User connection
• Capacity planning, Providing Monthly reports and Summary Reports
• Good at writing database monitoring scripts.
• Learning new technologies and constantly exploring new areas as per ideal time.
• Other DBA activities include analysis of space availability, Backups, and scheduled jobs.
• Migration of Databases, In-Place Upgrades, and Side-by-Side Upgrades.
• Experience with Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Cluster Administrative Tasks
• Working experience in the Always On Availability Group
• Expertise in Database backups, Recovery procedures, and Recovery Planning
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issue related to SQL Server instances, Databases SQL Server, and MySQL Server issues as well
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team with a sense of responsibility, Dedication, and commitment.
• Should be able to work on weekends and provide extended support when required 24/7 support.
• He or she should be enthusiastic to learn new tools and technologies.
• Should be able to work in shifts
