Role Summary

WSP is currently seeking an Engineer to join our infrastructure Team in India (T&I India), located in our Bengaluru office. Reporting to the Engineering Design Team in Middle East, this position will be responsible for applying Engineering Design in AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge on project work from conceptual design through to completion. Specific design work will focus on Main, secondary, and tertiary Irrigation systems and coordination with landscape works and other utilities (water, sewage, stormwater, gas, power, telecommunication, etc.).

Scope of work typically involves design for a variety of landcape irrigationl projects for various sites.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering design assignments in a tean environment on small to large-scale project teams.
• Participate in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed engineering drawing, and plans, including general and drainage plan drawings, plan/profile drawings, section drawings, and detail drawings.
• Complete understanding of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, KSA, and Qatar design guidelines and Authorities\xe2\x80\x99 requirements
• Capability to undertake design and modeling works for irrigation networks with market software (WaterGems, RainCAD, etc.) and strive for modelling excellence.
• In-depth design experience of various projects sizes.
• Ability to review/validate the modelling output with Engineering calculations.
• Undertake technical checks of others\xe2\x80\x99 works, progress reporting, and liaise with internal and external clients.
• Ability to deliver projects with full BIM implementation.
• Procide design advice, reports, and liaison role with other Engineering disciplines. Assist the project manager in work coordination between the infrastructure team and other teams within WSP.
• Supervise, coordinate, and support Engineers and provide design input to CAD/BIM teams.
• Lead in coordination with Authorities and Clients for design review and approvals.
• Coach and develop as required other infrastructure Engineers and strive to share and distribute knowledge amongst team members.
• Attend team and project meetings with Indian and Middle East Team members as required; and other duties as assigned

• Degree in Civil or Agriculture Engineering from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in landcape Irrigation design works in infrastructure projects.
• Full Knwolege of Automatic Irrigation systems, irrigation networks, pumping stations, lancapcing requirements are a must.
• Must process the ability to read and edit working drawings and related specifications.
• Experience in Design / Modelling of Wet Utility networks.
• Having Knowledge on Utility Clash Analysis using Navisworks.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Suite, abilities to perform hydraulic design using advanced software programme (Water Gems / Infowork).
• Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Highly motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic team player;
• Work competently with minimal supervision;
• Ability to learn quickly, illustrate cultural awareness, demonstrating strong English communication skills.
• Good English communication /reoort write up skills is required.
• Experience in other wet utilities network design than Irrigation network (Example : Potable water / sewer / storm) is a previllage.
