Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 8-15 years\' experience in basic and detail design and project coordination of Instrumentation works on Pharmaceutical, Infrastructure, and Energy Projects.
• Should be familiar with cGMP, GAMP 5, and other Pharmaceutical Design guidelines.
• Experience in Design and Detail Engineering including preparation, Checking, and review of Instrument Index, Data Sheet, Specification for Field Instruments and Control systems, SAMA/Logic diagrams, Sizing of Flow Element Valves, Construction drawings and knowledge in DCS/PLC systems.
• Experience in the following areas-

• Valves & flow elements sizing calculations
• Field instrumentation selection
• Preparation/checking of inst. index, I/O list, datasheets, MRs, TBE, VDR/VDI
• Pre-order and post-order activities
• Handling package interface, inter-discipline coordination
• Participation in HAZOP / SIL activities
• Generation and checking of process.
• Exposure to DCS / ESD / PLC / BMS/EMS
• Interaction with client/licensor / PMC / vendor
• Conversant with international engineering standards
• Conversant with QA / QC procedures
• Capable of supervising & guiding all design activities
• Experience in tools & 3-D modelling.
• Monitoring project Key performance indicators (KPI)
• Ensure the timely completion of all project specifications, Datasheets, schedules, designs and drawings for project assigned.
• Carry out review of vendor\'s bids and drawings / documentation for technical acceptability.
• Hands-on experience in SPI
• Handling subcontractors / off loader
• Utilization of SME for speciality items
• Provide technical assistance to other design groups as necessary.
• Ensures the compliance to Codes and standards, statutory guidelines.
• Shall ensure the project is delivered on time and within the budget allotted.
• Shall ensure that Quality and productivity parameters set for the project are achieved.
• Proactively identifying and addressing the concerns related to inputs, resources etc. to meet the project performance objectives.
• Coordination with various stake holders like Client / various internal disciplines like projects / Piping / mechanical / architect / civil /Electrical vendors for effective engineering management
• Experience in managing a team of designers working on an area scope. Planning, Monitoring, and checking the quality of the work done by designers.
• Be fully conversant with Company procedures, technical work practices, workings and policy.
• Continue professional development by attendance to in and out of company technical training.

Qualifications:Qualifications and Experience

• B.E. / B. Tech (Instrumentation) with a minimum 8-15 years\' experience
• Industry Type - Life sciences / Chemical
• Experience in working with engineering consultancies and EPC companies for design & engineering is desirable.
• Should have good exposure in pharma industry guidelines such ISPE, USFDA, WHO, cGMP
• Expertise in the following is an added advantage.

• Bio-Pharmaceutical -Upstream and downstream process
• API -Synthetic and Bio Fermentation
• Formulation -Oral solid /suspension
• Fill Finish /Vaccine facility.
• Clean Utility Systems
