What you will do:

• We are looking for a smart, passionate, hard-working, and driven Sr Engineer/Database Administrator who demonstrates an "engineering mindset." You will be using agile methodologies, software development & data best practices and latest database tools/technologies.
• As a DBA, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining TJX hosted Production and Non-Production Oracle databases. In this role you have an opportunity to work with application database activities including application code deployments and non-production database refreshes.

What you will need:Our ideal candidate has prior experience in data management and information security and is skilled at SQL tuning and shell scripting. In addition to monitoring databases for potential issues and implementing updates, you monitor database access privileges and assist with data recovery. Candidates with a bachelor\'s degree in computer science or a related field are strongly preferred. Experience interacting with Oracle on various operating systems is also a plus.Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in Oracle database administration.
• Help design, implement, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Install Oracle Patches. Oracle DB migrations.
• Proficient in Oracle database architecture, SQL coding and shell scripting
• Identify and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Ensure information security.
• Back up information for data recovery.
• Production code deployments, Non-Production DB refreshes and maintenance.
• Experience with Oracle on Virtual environment platforms and Oracle Exadata platform.
• Experience with Oracle on cloud at customer & Cloud platforms.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Good Analytical Skills and Technical communication skills
• Train non-technical employees on how to access the database.
• Provide database support to employees as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SQL Server or any other Database platforms is preferred.
• Experience with Manhattan OMS & Retail industry is plus.
• Certification in Oracle database administration a plus
