Senior Engineer - Facade Access


Gurugram/Mumbai, India

•Are you an experienced facade access engineer, and do you want to work on interesting and challenging projects?•


The Ramboll Facade Engineering team are looking for an experienced facade access consultant to join their team and help develop the discipline whilst working on fantastic schemes at various stages of design, in the UK and abroad. Projects include new build high rise developments, commercial offices, airports, hospitals, hotels and stadiums together with modernisation projects for clients including managing agents.


To succeed in this role, you must have technical skills and experience with a detailed knowledge of applicable Standards and Regulations and a customer focus to deliver over and above client expectations. Having done analysis using tools similar to Strand7, ANSYS, Solid Works, Mepla will be an advantage. You will join our Facade Engineering Team


You will be part of a growing team that provides technical solutions and advice across the Ramboll business. The facade access discipline sits within the facade engineering team providing the ideal opportunity for collaboration and growth both for the individual and the discipline.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Management your own projects, sustaining accountability for project delivery, quality and profitability.
• Work with a team of specialists in the field of facade access, allocating resources appropriately and coordinating tasks such that all deadlines are met.
• Facade access and fall protection system design including preparation of design stage reports, specifications and 2D/3D modelling, calculations, and analysis.
• Participation in workshops with clients and project stakeholders
• Site inspections and diagnostic work
• Contractor technical audits, tender and due diligence reviews
• Play a key role in maintaining the high-quality facade access and fall protection service offering.
Qualifications

• Degree qualified in either Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or other transferable engineering discipline.
• Holding or working towards Chartered engineer status
• Excellent knowledge of facade access and fall protection systems as well as construction techniques, procurement routes and the principles of working at height.
• Proven experience in a facade access and fall protection engineering role, with a demonstrable track record of developing facade access and fall protection, systems or strategies across a number of sectors such as residential, commercial, education.
• All round technical knowledge including structural analysis, facade access and fall protection systems, materials, specification, testing, and manufacturing.
• In-depth understanding and knowledge of relevant UK Regulations (e.g. Work at Height Regulations, LOLER, PUWER) as well as UK/EU Standards (e.g. BS 7883, BS 8610, BS EN 1808, BS EN 795)
• Proven experience with AutoCAD as well as 3D software such as RHINO or SOLIDWORKS
• Experience in carrying out factory inspections including witnessing equipment commissioning and testing.
• Proven Customer Relationship skills and experience, preferably in a Consultancy environment
• Very good communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly present and discuss concepts to clients and project stakeholders to advise on the optimum solution for a given building.
