The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the bill of quantities (BOQ) and ensuring accurate estimation and management of project quantities related to other engineering works. This includes the design and construction of bridges, station buildings, service buildings, officer rest houses, office buildings, retaining walls, approach roads, boundary walls, and other associated infrastructure.Key AccountabilitiesPreparation of Bill of Quantities:

• Develop detailed and accurate BOQs for various project components, including buildings, retaining walls, roads, and boundary walls.
• Occasionally conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential data for BOQ preparation.

Cost Estimation and Management:

• Monitor and manage project quantities, by comparing design quantities with tender and suggesting measures to improve.

Tender Documentation:

• Evaluate tender submissions and provide recommendations based on quantities and compliance with project requirements.

Project Coordination:

• Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely implementation of tender/project specifications and timelines.

Quality Control and Compliance:

• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and present regular reports on project status, quantity analysis, and timelines of submission.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all project-related documents and communications.

Desired Qualification:

• Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost management, preferably in railway or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes and standards.
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying and project management software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
