The Senior Engineer - CS Core role is a vital function of GNOC in GSC India. 2nd Level Assurance is responsible for the end-to-end 2nd Level technical support for the issues arising in Managed Services Customers cellular network!What you will do!

• The Engineer - CS Design is typically assigned to work for Design related activities in a handled services operations organization.
• Good understanding/experience on 3GPP standards and CS Core protocols.
• In-depth knowledge & experience at Ericsson/NOKIA/Huawei/Tekelec(at-least 2 OEMs) in perspective of Design and Planning.
• Product knowledge of Ericsson, Huawei, Tekelec, NOKIA Systems. (VLAYER, GLAYER, HLR, DRA, STP etc.)
• Configuration and fixing experience of Huawei/Nokia/Ericsson/Tekelec Network elements will be add-on.
• Knowledge of VOLTE/IMS related configuration in MSS Nodes.
• MSC or equivalent experience in Pool understanding and Hands-on for design related work.
• NEW Node Integration design hands-on will be required in Ericsson/NOKIA/HUAWEI/Tekelec nodes.
• Understanding of ICR configuration
• Understanding of capacity analysis will be required. CANDI; COUNT will be add-on for Ericsson system.
• Understanding of SS7, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER, SIP Signaling.
• Understanding of Core Network Interfaces.
• Should be proficient with important CS related KPIs, their analysis & improvement plans.
• To participate in technical discussion in view to improve performance and make recommendation wherever possible
• Good knowledge of service performance indicators and their interpretation
• To ensure accurate work methodology in order to avoid outages due to unawareness
• Interpersonal skills: must be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication. Ability to listen to others and exchange information and knowledge clearly and concisely
• Team work: must be able to work closely with the project/Circle planning team and other internal groups

You will bring

• Basic understanding of GSM/WCDMA/LTE
• Basic knowledge of SS7/IP signaling/SIP
• Basic understanding of CS Core Call flows
• Basic understanding of CS Core & IMS Performance KPIs
• Basic understanding of Call flows and regular operational activities
• Experience on N/W Elements of at-least 2 OEMs (Nokia/Ericsson /Huawei)
• Should be customer oriented
• Should be confident and self-motivated
• Should work independently

Education/Experience

• Education: Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
• 5-10 years of demonstrable experience in Telecommunications/operations of telecom networks.
• Experience in multi-vendor technologies will be considered an asset
