Job Description

This position is responsible for test automation design and development of smart home control Services, Web Portals and mobile applications system for the residential market. Candidate will use automation expertise and product understanding to enable end to end test automation and voice out quality concerns to enable high quality products and applications for our customers.




JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:



• Design develop and maintain test automation frameworks using C# for Web Portals and Web APIs.
• Responsible for requirements understanding, converting requirements into effective feature files and test automation scripts.
• Develop and debug the test automation software for new system, features and improvements following best practices and Resideo standards.
• Having Development experience in Cloud Services - C#, API, Microservices, IoT products will be an added advantage.
• Work closely in an agile environment with different test and cross functional teams.
• Responsible for test execution, analysis of automation test failures and reporting results to track failure patterns.
• Work on framework improvements as per project needs and enhancements to include more capabilities.
• Evaluate latest trends and technologies in automation testing for their potential benefits and drawbacks.
• Be a champion of continuous improvements in development processes for faster deliveries with better quality.

Strike a balance between enhancing existing product features and developing others from the ground up, expanding your skills, and strengthening the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience in software development or automation engineering.
• Expertise in programming language for test automation and test framework development - C#.
• Understanding of Product/Firmware automation methodologies.
• Experience with open-source automation tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or WebDriver
• Experience developing test plans, cases, and suites for web, mobile, API and/or desktop applications.
• Knowledge on code optimization techniques for enabling faster script execution time.
• Experience using DevOps, CI/CD, and delivery pipeline culture.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• In-depth knowledge and experience with AWS, Azure services, such as Lambda, S3, EKS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, Kinesis Streams and Firehoses, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue.
• Experience in software development for distributed systems using .NET (must have).
• Experience developing applications running in Windows and Linux and in Containers/Kubernetes.
• Experience in transactional and analytical RDS (e.g., SQL Server, Redshift), NoSQL (e.g., AWS DynamoDB), Object Storage (e.g. AWS S3). Good understanding of data schema design and query performance optimization.
• Strong foundation in Web and REST APIs.
• Software design patterns.

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and support.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science

• Experience in IoT domain working with embedded systems.
• Any amount of experience or exposure to ASP net or .net core for Tool development.
• Home automation controls and smart home apps background is preferable.
• Experience in test automation of Web Apps.
• Experience in any other programming language like Python, NodeJS or AngularJS.
