POSITION DETAILS

•Position Summary •


The Sr. Production Specialist is responsible for supporting production activities and ensuring business objectives are met. Their duties include supporting the production plans and processes by identifying and mitigating risks, reporting to managers, proactively preventing shortages and excesses, tracking and coordinating shipment details between departments, maintaining quality standards, and reporting and managing non-conformances as related to the procurement, engineering, assembly and production process.

•Principal Activities •

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production and assembly department stakeholders to assist in maintaining the full production schedule cycle to meet project, business, and financial objectives.
• Collaborate with managers to support production tasks to improve project schedules.
• Review production plans and drawing(s) to identify and report potential risks to manager.
• Coordinate with inventory control to proactively assist in management of production flow to avoid shortages and excesses.
• Review project requirements to identify and resolve design and fabrication issues, prior to start of assembly; work with assembly team to pre-assemble components to maintain project schedules and costs, and consistently maintain expected quality standards.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and communicate to managers any required resolutions for project prior to shipment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on company objectives, production strategies and support activities.
• Collaborate with Project, Design, and Quality Engineers, and with customers and vendors to identify cost savings and improve manufacturability.
• Coordinate with manager in resolving production planning and control issues.
• Work with cross-functional teams to assist in completing project deliverables on-time and within customer specifications.
• Pre-inspect kitting and staging and proactively manage any issues or concerns in preparation for assembly and testing.
• Ensure completed Build Books are issued to assembly team 6-weeks prior to commencement of assembly
• Develop and issue job routers to assembly team with work centers/operations assigned in accordance with project needs prior commencement of assembly
• Ensure all project specific Non-Conformances are closed with appropriate disposition prior to completed product being shipped

• Proficiency in manufacturing, production, and assembly processes
• Experience with quality control
• Ability to effectively read, review, and revise engineering drawings
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Careful attention to detail
• Ability to work in Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP and PLM systems
• Ability to strategically and proactively resolve production issues and concerns to maintain project schedules

•Education & Experience •

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, supply chain, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years' experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environment, preferably in Oil & Gas or related market.
• Experience working with inter-disciplinary teams and working with engineering drawings
• Experience in CRM, ERP, PLM systems and Microsoft Office a plus
