Role Profile Member of the Production Application Support Team within Post Trade division that manages the Level 2 support for Post Trade Data Store(Snowflake), primarily production and some of the other Non Production Envs. This role is associated with the management of the testing, build and implementation of releases and also any independent infrastructure and environment support. Working in the wider Application Support Team - the focus will be on delivering the change programme across all lifecycles from dev, test, uat to Member Test and Production environments. A production focused approach will be required with resilience, operational readiness, performance and production support being at the forefront of delivery. Would be required to work on Morning, Day or Night shift based on UK time according to the monthly roster. Out of hours support overnight and across weekends and Bank Holidays is frequently needed. Should be able to provide on-call support. Strong business knowledge is required for working with business teams during investigations. They need to be subject matter experts in the underlying technologies used by the applications. They may be required to provide detailed technical support for developers producing bug fixes & new releases of these applications. Must be self-motivating with the ability to prioritize workload. Resolve Incidents and Problems Monitor ServiceNow for Incidents and Problems Analyse problems and decide on suitable resolutions Apply resolutions following the Post Trade Change Management procedure Report status to relevant business and IT teams Record progress of incident resolution in ServiceNow Follow documented incident management procedures Key Snowflake responsibilities -: Supervise highly available and scalable Snowflake Databases across our Post Trade Division. Help implement standard methodologies for Snowflake DB administration, including backup & recovery, security and performance tuning. Proactively monitor the Snowflake DB environment to identify and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, capacity and potential system vulnerabilities. Work closely with the Cloud Infrastructure change teams to automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and technologies. Provide a solid foundation for building and maintaining successful SRE functions. Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure. Embed into SRE projects and on-call rotations to keep your skills sharp and stay close to the operational workflows and issues. Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization techniques. Preferably Snowflake DB certification on SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced.
