The incumbent is expected to provide technical leadership on projects within \'Airflex Industrial Clutches & Brakes portfolio\' at DIIC Pune. He/She will lead product design deliverables for New product development, leveraging DFSS methodologies/tools and within engineering function also required to provide application engineering solutions aligning to business needs. Individual should have good hands-on experience of working in New product development & Application engineering domain. Job Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for the product design & development in engineering team. Lead engineering deliverables & activities for new product development projects. Creation and release of drawings in PLM system and perform quality checks to ensure design meets Danfoss and customer standards / requirements. Provide solutions for multiple projects, Lead project reviews for complex projects involving multiple components or systems. Provide technical support for Customer applications, field sales, customer complaints and Manufacturing teams. Lead sizing & selection of products from portfolio based on customer application requirements. Provide product & applications trainings to Sales, Distributors & customers. Support on failure root cause analysis through 8D methodology. Develop technical capability within team through technical training, guidance, and mentoring. Maintain effective communications both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments. Background & Skills Bachelor/ Master\'s degree in mechanical engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience in Engineering and R&D domain. Proven expertise in complex mechanical design with demonstrated experience in New product development and Application engineering projects. Experience of working on 3D modeling software\'s like ProE wildfire5 / Creo, UG NX and AutoCAD. Strong analytical skills with experience in handling Engineering deliverables of critical product designs from Concept development to product launch. Sound knowledge of DFSS methodologies and tools. Professional Certifications in DFSS (GB) will be an added advantage. Should be able to read and interpret results from FEA, CFD, System modeling and drive technical decisions for product design. Experience in handling Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), DFMEA & Test Plan. Should have experience in handling application engineering projects with external customers /OEMs. Strong communication (vocal and written) and convincing ability.
