As part of our sustainability journey Colt DCS has set comprehensive near and long term Science Based Targets to cut our emissions in line with the SBT is latest Net Zero Standard.Short DescriptionResponsible for design, delivery and commissioning of electrical systems.Job SummaryThe Electrical Engineering Specialist is responsible for providing expertise in electrical engineering to support various projects and initiatives across the data centre electrical systems. They will lead on activities such as design, analysis and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the systems, collaborating with engineers and business stakeholders to support broader organisational goals.Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Participate in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems and electrical circuits

• Conduct technical analysis to evaluate the performance and efficiency of the systems, identifying opportunities for driving continuous improvement

• Develop electrical schemas to ensure system compliance with engineering standards and regulations

• Provide technical support such as troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues

• Ensure the reliability and safety of systems by developing and implementing testing procedures

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, such as project managers and technical specialists, to ensure electrical systems are integrated into relevant projects and programmes

• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation relating to electrical engineering activities

• Remain informed with innovations in electrical engineering, sharing best practices and implementing solutions where relevant
