Job title: Electrical Design Engineer (Solar PV)

Location: Sri City, Andhra Pradesh

Experience: 3-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on solar or renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Design:

o Design electrical layouts for solar projects, including single-line diagrams (SLD), cable

routing, and grounding systems.

o Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies.

2. Equipment Selection:

o Specify and select electrical components such as inverters, transformers, switchgear,

and protection devices.

o Ensure compatibility with project requirements and standards.

3. Site Assessments:

o Conduct site inspections to determine cable routing, inverter placement, and grid

interconnection points.

o Assess shading and site-specific electrical challenges.

4. Compliance and Standards:

o Ensure designs meet local and international standards (IEC, NEC, IS).

o Coordinate with authorities for grid connectivity and electrical approvals.

5. Testing and Commissioning:

o Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including performance

testing of inverters and transformers.

o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.

6. Project Documentation:

o Prepare electrical design calculations, bill of materials (BOM), and as-built drawings.

o Develop O&M manuals and test reports for client handovers.

7. Collaboration:

o Work closely with structural and civil engineers to ensure electrical designs integrate

seamlessly.

o Support procurement and construction teams in material selection and installation

processes.

o Educational Qualification:

o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PVsyst).

o Knowledge of grid-tied solar systems, power distribution, and protection systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?800,000.00 - ?1,100,000.00 per year
