This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and efficient design solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical control panels and automation panels based on project specifications and customer requirements.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
- Select appropriate electrical components, such as circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases.
- Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during testing and commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design calculations, bill of materials (BOM), and test procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical design and automation technologies.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, specifically in panel board and automation panel design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN) for electrical design.
- Strong understanding of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Experience with PLC programming and HMI design is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with various automation systems and industrial control technologies.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in electrical design.
- Familiarity with electrical simulation software.
- Office-based role with occasional visits to manufacturing sites and client locations.
- May require occasional travel for project meetings and site inspections.
