Summary As a Engineering Site Leader - Monitoring Solutions, you will join a dynamic and motivated team developing patient Monitoring medical products & solutions that set the bar for clinical excellence. JFWTC, Bangalore, India is a strategic product development center for the Monitoring Solutions business. This position reports into the businessxe2x80x99s Chief Technology Officer. It is a critical leadership role requiring superior leadership skills, platform & product development experience, product lifecycle management, and business acumen. Own quality, timeline, and budgets. Propose trade-offs as appropriate and drive for timely decisions.Energize the team for strong engagement on programs. Translate & communicate program strategies to the team. Institutionalize effective technical and leadership roles at the site.Co-create annual budget plans; ensure operations stay within financial targets quarterly.Maintain effective partnership with local cross functional teams to ensure speed & quality on programs xe2x80x93 sourcing, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, service.Ensure compliance to EHS & QMS requirements at the site.OrganizationalDevelop world class local technical, project and functional engineering leaders through appropriate training, assignments, mentoring/coaching and global bubble assignments.Lead hiring, talent development and retention strategies for the site.Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance to product quality & GEHC Quality Management System.Drive a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, accountability, and global collaboration.Global CohesionContinually connect the local team with the overall business strategy and vision, drive operating mechanisms to engage the team globally. Continually identify and drive actions necessary to ensure overall team efficiency and effectiveness.Work with global functional managers and Chief Engineersxe2x80x99 office to refine technical ownership strategies & drive local competency growth that is required to realize the strategies.Work with global functional managers to effectively realize functional excellence in the various disciplines within the site teams.Local ConnectionsCreate a unified, energized workforce locally xe2x80x93 across sub-functions, with a strong Monitoring Solutions identityRepresent Monitoring Solutions in region technology organization & support local initiatives and collaborationsConnect team with local market and customersDrive local vendor partnership effectiveness.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline.Minimum of 15+ years of design & development experience preferably in medical device development.Minimum of 5+ years of engineering management experience and leadership of direct reportsMinimum of 5+ years of program management experience, leading product development efforts from concept to delivery for introduction into the global market.Demonstrated ability to deliver results while leading multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes.Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processesDemonstrated experience in state-of-the-art software development methodologies and toolsDemonstrated knowledge of FDA design controls requirementsAbility and willingness to travel 10% both domestic and internationalDesired Characteristics15+ years overall progressive engineering work experience through a variety of program and functional leadership roles.Demonstrated people management skills.
