A Day in the Life
This is a newly created opportunity, where you will have overall responsibility for the establishment, growth and governance of our Pune site. Reporting to the VP of Diabetes APAC, you will be sitting as a member of the Diabetes APAC leadership team.
Key accountability will include:
• Leading and directing operations for Diabetes MiniMed in Pune, to support optimal performance delivery including transactional support services. This also includes providing strategic direction at the site level, including supporting footprint strategy and optimization.
• Maintaining and supporting the brand and reputation of Diabetes MiniMed in India.
• Providing oversight of all value streams (core functions and affiliated company ties) operating to support selected global functions and transactional work in the country particularly as this relates to:
+ compliance with local legal, tax, and other regulatory matters;
+ consistency in approach to policy formulation and execution impacting all employees and assets across all businesses operating in site; and
+ engaging/collaborating with all stakeholders and functional owners who have operations at the site.
• Infrastructure management including:
+ Site management (facilities and technology); and
+ Country risk and security.
• Cross-functional collaboration by leading the India Diabetes Leadership Team.
• Managing Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Managing external relationships including facing government, industry, chambers of commerce, etc.
• P/L & budget management for Diabetes India.
• Supporting strong employee engagement and embedding our global Diabetes ways of working.
You are already a proven senior leader, well versed in how digital technologies can be utilized as a driver in the industry. In addition to your strong technology leadership background, you will also possess exceptional business acumen and executive presence to work with key global stakeholders, bringing with you, stature and gravitas to interact with all internal and external stakeholders as required.
Given our change-driven & results-oriented culture, you will also have the ability to work in a global matrix structure within the context of Diabetes strategic vision.
To be considered you will have:
• Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 15 years relevant commercial and general management experience with 10 years of leadership experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience.
• General management/operations experience in developing and scaling a captive site for an MNC
• People leadership skills and experience in defining and building a high-performance culture
• Commercial and strategic thinking, with an understanding of operations (ideally in financial services/insurance), gained from an BPO or GCC
• Ability to thrive in a change-driven and results-oriented culture, working within a global matrix structure.
• Capability to lead organizational change initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
