Responsible for the smooth functioning of the dietary department and patient diet service.
To appraise and counsel the dieticians whenever needed.
To take class for the dieticians periodically.
To set the protocols according to the standards prescribed.
To implement new diet menus whenever required.
Prescription and planning of diets for patients in the allotted wards.
Supervision of service - right food to the right patient at the right time.
Diet Counseling for In - patients according to the prescribed diet.
Allocation of duties and responsibilities to the dietician.
Nutrition and Dietetics classes for student nurses.
To Co-ordinate with the Consultants, nursing department, food services department & ward staff.
To continuously monitor patients service for complete satisfaction and delight.
To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
To be aware of departments performance and objective.
To carryout data collection/support in data collection.
To adhere to the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
To ensure that all the employees are trained/oriented about the quality systems of the department.
To perform any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.
To calculate the MNAC (Minimal Nutritional Assessment) based on the weight and required calorie individually for the patient who are in the ICU & Ward.
To discuss with the consultants regarding daily nutrition requirement of the patient based on formulae feeds.Roles & Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Organizational and interpersonal skills
