Operates and monitors a variety of machines related to hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, drug overdose and plasmapheresis. Establishes and implements protocols for equipment evaluation. Develops training materials to instruct patients and their families, as well as staff and other dialysis technicians, in principles and practices of dialysis.
Impact
- Applies the most advanced patient care and/ or clinical and laboratory technician skills and knowledge, coupled with a deep and broad understanding of the FMC and FME environment; often serves as a work lead, providing technical direction to others.
- Delivers service or support at the expert level, while independently implementing policies and procedures appropriate to the environment; regularly provides technical guidance to others and helps to guide decision making around escalated issues that have precedent.
