About the Role This role will play a critical part in developing a Centre of Excellence responsible for delivering shared solutions for infrastructure operations across our estate. You\'ll be working with a broad swathe of contributors across Elsevier\'s Technology organization, as well as a number of key folks in our vendors\' services and technologies teams. Responsibilities .Ensuring optimal construction and implementation of CI/CD pipelines .Building automation supporting the effective management and consumption of cloud resources .Designing and authorising soft infrastructure assets using infrastructure as code best practices .Operating and maintain software systems across the full breadth of the SDLC .Providing effective solutions through the applied integration of infrastructure, software, and software delivery best practices .Building effective monitoring to monitor the health of system and be the frontline to handle outages .Planning and managing cost of infrastructure resources Requirements .Have experience managing and running Linux servers at scale .Be experienced in writing and using modular Terraform at scale .Have DevOps experience in large, multi-product cloud-based environment (AWS) .Experience of authoring CI/CD pipelines, automation elements related to infrastructure composition, deployment orchestration, and monitoring .Be able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and engineers to share your knowledge and ideas .Have Understanding of Service level agreements and objectives .Be able to Monitor observability technologies like New Relic, Kibana, Elasticsearch .Have proficient command of the English language, both written and spoken Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
