Role Overview:

• Looking for a Senior Developer/SME having 10+ years of experience proficient on the backend side who will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities.
• Strong with Python and having advanced level knowledge of NumPy, Pandas & OOPS is mandatory.
• The candidate should have good exposure to System Design, Design Patterns and Best Design practices.
• Must have experience in building models/App (Actuarial Model and Financial Models).
• The role will involve activities including design, build and configuration of applications, refactoring to meet business process and application requirements.
• The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions and drive architecture and software improvement opportunities and take it to completion.
• Must have experience in Team management, act as an advisor to the project team.
• Good to have understanding and knowledge of Tensor libraries like PyTorch.
• Good to have exposure on Cloud Services like AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.

• Application development Skillsets:



• Exposure to Python oriented data analytical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas.
• Advanced level knowledge of NumPy, Pandas & OOPS is mandatory.
• Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python application with good understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/ multi-threaded programming.
• Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology for application development and testing life cycle.
• Data Management Skillsets:



• Ability to understand data in line with business use cases and requirements to identify patterns, data quality gaps, data lineage, etc.
• Should have strong grasp of advanced SQL functionalities (joins, nested query, and procedures).
• Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's/master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
• Advanced level knowledge of NumPy, Pandas & OOPS is mandatory.
• Application development & refactoring experience
• Team Management.
• Good to have with C++ / Java / .Net.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges.
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?3,800,000.00 per year
