Summary:

The position requires an experienced Senior DevOps Scrum Tech Lead with a strong focus on cloud native services, DevOps, Automation, big data, and machine learning systems. The ideal candidate should have expertise as a team leader in Agile, DevOps based projects for complex systems and cloud-based services, with expert-level experience in AWS and additional experience in GCP or Azure being a plus.

The candidate must be able to provide delivery leadership to a team, support application developers, and application architects, and interface with external dependencies. The candidate should have a deep understanding of DevOps/ Infrastructure-As-Code, Scrum-Agile delivery models, Cloud Security, IT architecture, and data architecture.

The Cloud Lead will oversee all day-to-day planning and delivery aspects for one or more DevOps, and Agile pipeline of a highly skilled team. The team will be responsible for driving innovation in the cloud space and providing a long-term executable vision for the company\'s objectives.

Skills - Must Have

• The ideal candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of how to be a team leader for a highly technical team delivering sophisticated systems.
• The candidate must be able to zoom in so they can help address critical technical issues yet be able to zoom out and keep the team on track for big picture objectives.
• Being able to recognize how to achieve objectives with various technical options and lead the evaluation between them.
• Candidate must be skilled to help develop, plan, design and deliver using a wide variety of AWS services, beyond just EC2s and Databases. Expertise in serverless, managed services, API-Governance, Basic Networking, AWS big data, ML, and AI services is required.
• Coach and develop employees and be a technology leader, mentor at all levels of the organization and be responsible for cloud strategy, architecture and resolving difficult technical roadblocks.
• The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge & experience with AWS CloudFormation at scale and reuse, and the ability to influence multiple workstreams with reusable IaC components. AWS Service Catalog experience is a big plus.
• The candidate must be an advocate and expert of both DevOps & Agile models and can integrate both into projects. Experience with building project objectives into DevOps pipelines and controls.
• The candidate should have experience in breaking down projects into MVP and Agile deliverables, delivering complex end systems incrementally.
• Must have a strong understanding of cloud usage costs and FinOps and track cloud team\xe2\x80\x99s costs as they deliver.
• The candidate should also have experience in managing multiple cloud-native complex projects with cross-cutting dependencies and find optimal & novel execution sequences and coach teams to iteratively deliver high-value milestones.
• Must be able to keep in mind end-user simplicity while ensuring the system can handle complexity and exceptions internally.
• The candidate should also have experience working with data and reporting data related to projects, system costs, performance, and reliability KPIs.
• Must have experience with running projects that manage substantial numbers of cloud accounts consistently using automation. Cloud SDK, CLI and scripting hands-on knowledge is necessary.
• The candidate must have experience with cloud projects and lead a technically oriented team.
• Good listener and communicator. Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
• In-depth understanding of Interface-Contracts, Loosely Coupled designs and simplifying solutions and reducing TCO for the end-to-end picture.

Skills - Preferred

• Experience creating and maintaining projects that are related to an Enterprise Internal Development Platform or highly reusable components or services.
• Expertise with DevOps practices, continuous integration. deployment processes like AWS Code Pipeline, Code Build.
• Candidate who can roll up the sleeves and dive in is a big plus.
• Prior success in proposing and running automating a real-world production environment
• Expertise in Cloud security and access models
• Experience projects using serverless to automate in AWS
• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based server configuration and automation skills, particularly in a Cloud environment.
• Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management across environments.
• Experience in GCP or Azure, including data and ML services a plus.
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with big data and data warehouse cloud systems is a plus.
• Experience with machine learning and AI pipelines is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project team consisting of Developers and Engineers to produce automation and solutions.
• Manage priorities, shuffle execution plans, address risk and make technical roadmap together with the team.
• Create and provide long-term technical leadership and vision for multiple teams by guiding internal development teams on long term vision and objectives.
• Help architect solutions for long term, scale, resiliency, Cost, Security, and maintainability.
• Evaluate new cloud services and features in the context of business use cases
• Work on a wide range of innovative Cloud uses cases.
• Design, plan and create code assets and tools to accelerate cloud projects.
• Champion Enterprise, TCO and end-to-end Mindset with a focus on reusable services that are efficient, cost-effective & secure
• Will be an automation advocate - you genuinely believe in removing operation load with software. Ability to automate manual processes and write code to expediate detection and mitigation of issues in the environment.
• Responsible for Proposals, Investment Planning and long-term strategy for BMS
• Listen to customer needs and innovate
• Work with app dev teams to develop new cloud hosted services
• Support app dev teams using existing cloud hosted services
• Partner with service providers both internal and external to design and implement cloud data
• systems in the BMS cloud environment.
• Define supported Cloud Services
• Education and training of teams
• Design/Build automation tools
• Cloud data, ML, and AI system architecture and support

Educational, Professional, and Technical Expertise:

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology or commensurate experience.
• At least 10+ years of tech experience in cloud computing, software development and/or Cloud Center of Excellence (COE)
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership or tech lead role
• Experience with financial planning for projects and managing a budget.
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Willingness to occasionally work in a 24x7 on-call cycle to manage escalations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (content creation such as whitepapers, architecture diagrams, etc.).
• Ability to explain complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization.

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Solution Architect; Associate or Professional (preferred)
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer; Associate or Professional a plus
• Any Azure or Google Cloud certification a plus
